Getting distracted on my distraction walk because beauty is meant to be distracting. Can you even believe the sky is real?

Hello Sweet Friends!! Good morning humans! How has the slow climb into winter felt? Was mercury retrograde kind to you? My relationship with all things communication isn't the bestย and coming out of the shadow of Mercury retrograde felt difficult and sticky. It resulted in me forgetting a lot of commitments I made, feeling 203203% scatterbrained and 0% committed to myself and my mission here on planet earth (make art and be of service to the universe).
Right now I am distracted. All the time. I watched my ultra-smart friend Michelle give a talk on intuitive eating last week, Michelle talks a lot about how food is sometimes a harm reduction tactic. That maybe eating the donut now, is the best version of you, that self-soothing via food is a completely valid and fair way to experience the full weight of emotion.ย (And like I got a LOT of emotion in me right now)
I am 3000% distracted right now. All the time. Leaving the house is a hilarious feat for me at the moment, I keep making silly mistakes, I pick up my phone mid writing this newsletter to scroll. I am distracted. And that's ok. Because maybe my distraction now, my eating-cold-ribs-with-the-fridge-door-open distraction is protecting me from the weight of the rest of the world. Or using Simon's skateboard as a prop for pilates/art is a creative way to plan classes? Or maybe my mid-writing-scroll is here to help me channel my feelings into this newsletter for you all.
What distractions are pleasurable? Or what permission do we need to give ourselves to luxuriate in our distractions? What distractions lead us to new truths? New emotions? New places to luxuriate in? Maybe our distraction are places where we can find new truths, new freedom, new places to play and discover and feel.ย

Oat Mylk Lattes + some not very good oatmeal cookies I made but will happily eaty anyway
Singing very loud in my kitchen
